Vicki Humphreys, Founder & President
Prior to starting HML Group, Vicki was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 23 years with expertise in conducting complex, high profile domestic and international white collar criminal investigations focused on fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, corruption and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She has extensive experience testifying in federal court.
Vicki received numerous awards and accolades during her career in recognition of her outstanding investigative efforts including FBI Agent of the Year, City of Philadelphia Integrity Award and the United States Attorney’s Office Investigative Award of Excellence.

Andrew Lash, Chief Technical Officer
From 2009 to 2017, Andy was the Principal Engineer and Senior Program Manager for a Fortune 500 company with primary responsibility for managing the delivery of computer forensics and electronic discovery consulting services to state and city governments. Andy has extensive experience in conducting digital forensic acquisitions and has performed investigations and analysis of digital evidence on myriad matters, both criminal and civil. Andy received cyber training from the FBI, Department of Defense, Sans Institute, Mandiant and Sun Microsystems. Andy is A+ and Net+ certified by CompTIA.
Some of Andy’s significant cases include the Lower Merion School District’s webcam investigation, a chain restaurant tax evasion case, litigation brought by a local network television news anchor against her employer regarding invasion of privacy claims, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigation of a New York investment broker, HIPAA security and network assessment of a Pennsylvania hospital, a malware investigation stemming from a spear phishing attack of a large aeronautical company and two murder investigations for the State of Delaware’s Office of the Public Defender, among others.
Andy is also a retired Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with more than thirty years of investigative experience. During his career, he investigated white collar crime, violent crime and cyber-crimes. Additionally, Andy was a certified FBI firearms and tactical instructor, police school instructor and served as a member of the Philadelphia FBI SWAT team for more than twenty years.
Kathleen McAfee, Director of Investigations
Kathleen amassed a wealth of white-collar investigative experience during her 28 years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and 11 years as the First Deputy Inspector General for the City of Philadelphia. Over the course of her career in government service, she spearheaded or supervised countless corruption and government fraud matters which led to successful criminal prosecutions as well as financial recoveries totaling in excess of $25 million.
